UPDATE Sept. 13: On Sept. 10 at approximately 11:45 a.m., Nipawin RCMP were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 55 near Snowden.
Investigation has determined that a semi truck and a van collided. The adult male driver of the van was transported to hospital by STARS with serious injuries. We do not have an update on his condition.
The driver and passenger of the semi were not seriously injured.
Highway 55 was closed for approximately 10 hours during initial investigation. Nipawin RCMP and an RCMP traffic reconstructionist continue to investigate.
ORIGINAL: Nipawin RCMP are currently on scene of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 55 near Snowden.
The highway is completely blocked at this time and motorists can expect delays. Please slow down if you are traveling in the area for the safety of emergency responders at the scene.
