Due to the hot weather, the city is experiencing high water demand resulting in lower water pressure in some parts of the city.

Some areas in the city are noticing lower than average water pressure. There are no current water main breaks causing the reduction in water pressure, the decrease is directly related to the increase in demand from the hot temperatures.

The city’s two water treatment plants are operating at full capacity to meet the needs of the citizens of North Battleford during this time. Water pressure will return to normal when water demand declines. It is recommended that citizens water their lawns and gardens before sunrise or after sunset to reduce the evaporation of water and alleviate water usage during daytime hours.
