A fugitive wanted on a Canada-wide warrant in connection to a November 2008 shooting incident on 110th Street in North Battleford was captured this week in Calgary.
According to the RCMP, Joshua Vincent Sauvie, 24, of Red Pheasant First Nation, was arrested August 17, 2010 in Calgary city police.
Calgary police arrested Sauvie on information given to them by North Battleford Municipal GIS. Sauvie faced charges stemming from a November 30 2008 incident when RCMP responded to a complaint of shots fired on 110th Street in the city.
Solomon Adam Mosquito, 24, of North Battleford, and Harley Lennox Bugler, 24, of Red Pheasant First Nation were previously convicted in their roles in the incident.
Sauvie was formally charged with respect to the incident on Feb. 4, 2009. The charges are: using a firearm in the commission of an offence, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, criminal harassment and participation in activities of a criminal organization. All are Criminal Code offences.
Sauvie was to be returned to North Battleford this week and is remanded in custody. He is to make his first appearance in provincial court Monday morning.
