FSIN senator mourned by organization

Ernest "Ernie" Cameron was inducted into the FSIN senate in August.
SASKATOON – A Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (FSIN) senator, Ernest Cameron, is being remembered by the organization and its member First Nations.

“Ernie” Cameron was recently inducted to the FSIN senate in August for his years of work and dedication to his community and his family.

“We are truly saddened for the loss Senator Cameron and send our sincere prayers and condolences go out to his family and his community,” says FSIN Chief Bobby Cameron in a statement.

“Our prayers are with Beardy’s and the Cameron family during this very difficult time."

Bobby Cameron describes the senator as a true ambassador of strength and resilience. 

“His stories and legacy will live on in our hearts and in the memories of his many family members, friends, and community for years to come. Senator Cameron touched many lives and will be greatly missed.”
