A North Battleford man pleaded guilty in Prince Albert Provincial Court May 20 to aggravated assault.
Trent Fox, 19, was charged with attempted murder but pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of aggravated assault by stabbing.
Fox has been in custody since his arrest in October 2020 and was denied bail.
Police say they were called to a business in the 3200 block of 2nd Avenue West at about 10 p.m. on Oct. 14, 2020, after a 21-year-old man was stabbed. STARS took the victim to a Saskatoon hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police say that Fox hitchhiked to Prince Albert from North Battleford earlier on the evening of Oct. 14.
Fox also pleaded guilty today to charges out of North Battleford including two mischief charges and two counts of failing to appear in court.
He will be sentenced on all of the charges in Prince Albert Provincial Court on July 8.
