Five in hospital after two-vehicle collision

WPD ambulance received a call just after midnight for a two vehicle collision on Highway 16 west bound at the Westwood Cemetery July 29. Five patients were transported to Battlefords Union Hospital.

Five patients were transported to Battlefords Union Hospital. Three of the patients suffered minor back injuries and two had minor contusions.

RCMP and North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services were at the scene.

Five personnel from the North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services responded to a report of smoke in a residence at Heritage Trailer Park July 29 at 9:36 p.m.

Upon arrival it was determined that a pot had been left on the stove when the occupant left the residence. The trailer was ventilated of smoke by firefighters.

NBFES reminds people to never leave cooking appliances unattended and to be sure burners are turned off when leaving home.

The cooking fire was confined to a container resulting in no damages.

There was major damage to a garage at 11805 Ravine Drive after it started on fire at Tuesday.

North Battleford Fire and Emergency Service were on scene at 1:33 a.m. for four hours with three engines, one utility van and ten personnel.
