An 11-year-old boy was sent to hospital after being hit by a vehicle at BridgeFest on the weekend.
The incident happened at around 3:45 p.m. at the Flats in Battleford Saturday. WPD Ambulance said their staff responded to the call of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle. The boy was transported to Battlefords Union Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
WPD Ambulance also responded to two other calls on the weekend. One was a collision on Aug. 27 around 5:53 p.m. It involved two vehicles at the intersection of Battleford Road and Highway 16. Two patients on the scene were both treated and released.
As well, a third collision happened Saturday at the intersection of 107th Street and 15th Avenue around 7:23 p.m. Upon their arrival emergency personnel found one vehicle had struck a parked vehicle. The patient was treated and released on the scene.
