NORTH BATTLEFORD - A couple of local businesses in North Battleford have teamed up to donate food and other items to Battlefords Interval House.
Both Discovery Co-op and Bridges Chevrolet Buick GMC have joined together for the Good Buy to Hunger Campaign. According to a Discovery Co-op news release, the Good Buy to Hunger bags were displayed at the North Battleford Food Store and all three Discovery Co-op Gas bars. Those bags were filled with products in high demand at the Interval House, including food, personal hygiene products, and clothes.
A total of 130 bags were delivered to the Interval House. Meanwhile, Bridges teamed up to support by selling the bags at the dealership. A cheque was presented of $4,500 for a monetary donation.
“It is through these initiatives that Discovery Co-op, our members and community partners can continue to keep our communities thriving”, said Mike Nord, General Manager of Discovery Co-op, in a statement.
