Valley Ford celebrated the Christmas spirit this season by collecting toys, food and more for a family in need.

The Tshakani family moved here from the Congo in February. Michel and Edoxin Tshakani have four children: Narcisse,11; Prixa, 9; Benedit, 7; and Maki, 4. When this family came to Canada they spoke only French, but they are now catching on to the English language. They are struggling to fully provide for their family and get where they need to be, because they have no car or even a driver's licence.

Valley Ford chose this family, then began to gather gifts. Dec. 23, employees were invited down to the showroom to witness for themselves the joy their gift had brought. They were not disappointed. The kids ran around exclaiming over their new toys and playing with them. Edoxin began to cry thankful tears, overwhelmed by the generosity of other people. The gifts included toys, bikes, blankets and food, which included their Christmas meal.

Valley Ford made a difference in one family's life this year, just as they have been doing in others' lives for many years.
