A survey by the Town of Carrot River and RM of Moose Range aims to gather feedback from residents' experience and their opinions on the local healthcare services within the community.

CARROT RIVER — The Town of Carrot River and RM of Moose Range are seeking feedback into residents' experience and opinions on the local healthcare services within the community.

Taryn Bryson, Carrot River’s administrator, said the answers will be used to influence future discussions between municipal leaders and the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

The next regular meeting between the Town of Carrot River and the authority is planned to take place in a couple months.

“We’re looking to gather some information for the Saskatchewan Health Authority just to let them know a broader scope of the general consensus of the healthcare that’s in Carrot River right now,” Bryson said.

“[We’re] also just trying to highlight any areas where there could be some more service or areas going really well.”

The survey, which has eight questions, can be done online through at or through a paper copy at the town office, RM office or post office. None of the questions collects personal information.

All surveys must be submitted by April 1, at 12:00 p.m.

Bryson said they had over 20 residents fill out the survey within the day it went live on March 1.

“I think everyone is a little bit stressed with not having a permanent resident doctor right now in town. I know the Health Authority has been working really hard to try to get us a placement here and we have been having doctors from Nipawin coming in here… whenever there is time for that.”
