On July 8, at approximately 12:55 p.m. Blaine Lake RCMP was called to a structure fire at a church on Petrofka Road.
It is believed the fire had been burning for some time before police were called. Upon arrival, the church had already been destroyed by fire. Officers confirmed the church was no longer in use prior to the fire and no one was injured by the fire.
Blaine Lake RCMP and Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency fire investigators are investigating. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, but initial investigation has determined that it is suspicious in nature.
