Adrien Zimmerman and Katrina Mackinnon are two of the four people from North Battleford who are involved in the "Biggar on Broadway" musical theatre presented by Poitras Music Studio.
The cast is as young as three years old to performers in their 60s.
It will be an evening of foot stomping show tunes, broadway ballads, pop/rock songs, dance, drama and a lot more for the whole family.
There are two shows at Majestic Theatre in Biggar, SK. Saturday, August 21 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are $20.00 and can be purchased at the Independent in Biggar, SK.
Biggar on Broadway is also holding five days of intensive summer workshops including both musical theatre and dance from August 16 - 20.
Susan Lehnert and Kelly Poitras are the musical theatre workshop administrators. They will combine musical theatre, singing, dancing and acting. Lehnert and Poitras will focus on staging, space and movement, pop work, vocal exercises and projection, costuming, theatrical makeup, drama and improvisation techniques, character building and much more. Their main objective is to have fun and share passion of the stage with all students participating.
Lucas Poitras, dance workshop administrator, will be featuring ballet and rock jazz. He brings to the stage a love for dance and provides a great opportunity for students to learn in a fun-filled, energetic environment. Poitras has extensive training in dance and is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City.
Workshop fees are $150.00 per workshop.
