THE BATTLEFORDS — Walter Geering, 45, of North Battleford was arrested on June 22 and charged with one count of second-degree murder in the death of his mother.
The victim has been identified as 72-year-old Beatrice Geering from North Battleford. Her family has been notified.
RCMP say that on June 22, at approximately 11:55 a.m., Battlefords RCMP received a report of an injured individual at a residence on 93rd Street in North Battleford.
Officers and EMS responded and located a woman, whom EMS declared deceased.
Saskatchewan RCMP’s Major Crime Unit has taken carriage of the investigation.
