Battleford town council approved a bylaw Oct. 18 night to close down and consolidate a lane at 2 -18th St.
The lane being closed is an alleyway located in the vicinity of where a new 24-unit condominium complex going up at the corner of 18th Street and Central Avenue.
Mayor Chris Odishaw told reporters town council is planning to move the alleyway back to make room for that complex and to also incorporate future green space in that area. The bylaw passed covers the lane closure only at this time.
