After an extended stay in Japan, Andrew Albers is coming back to North America.

The pitcher from North Battleford has signed a minor league deal with the Minnesota Twins, marking a return for Albers to the organization.

Albers has been invited to spring training later this month. This is his third stint with the Twins, which is the same organization in which he made his major league debut in 2013.

For the past three seasons Albers has played for the Orix Buffaloes in Nippon Professional Baseball. During his time with the Buffaloes Albers had a record of 15-16 with a 4.02 ERA.
