Alleged Westside Outlaws street gang members who took police on a 150-kilometre chase in November remain behind bars.

Juanita Wahpistikwan, 21, from Big Island Cree Nation, and Tonia Cantel, 22, from North Battleford, had show cause hearings scheduled in Lloydminster Provincial Court on Jan. 7 but their appearances were waived and the matters were adjourned. Kyle Lajimodiere from Cold Lake, Alta., also remains in custody.

The three, and two young offenders who can鈥檛 be named in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, were arrested on Nov. 20 after multiple RCMP detachments worked together to arrest them.

Police pursued the five for two hours from Lashburn, Sask., to an area north near Paradise Hills.

The five are charged with theft of a vehicle, storing a prohibited firearm, four counts of possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, two counts of carrying a concealed weapon, possessing a firearm without a license, being in a vehicle with an unauthorized firearm, possessing a prohibited firearm with accessible ammunition without registration, possession of a firearm with an altered serial number, endangering the safety of the public, and flight from police.

Wahpistikwan is scheduled to appear next in Lloydminster Provincial Court on Jan. 21 for a show cause hearing. Cantel鈥檚 show cause hearing was adjourned to Jan. 11. Lajimodiere is scheduled to appear on Jan. 26 to speak to his matter.

The charges against the five haven鈥檛 been proven in court.

RCMP say the five are members of Westside Outlaws street gang.
