A bail hearing for an alleged gang member didn’t proceed today at his request.

A legal aid lawyer representing Raheem Hagan told the Meadow Lake Provincial Court on June 21 that her client has requested the hearing be adjourned to June 28. At that time the court will receive a bail supervision report, which will include whether a residence in Saskatoon is suitable for house arrest.

Hagan was arrested in Edmonton by Saskatchewan RCMP and Edmonton Police after police conducted a high-risk takedown at the West Edmonton Mall Inn. In the room they arrested Hagan, Christopher Ernest, 23, of Meadow Lake, and Christopher Michael Nolan, 21, from Lloydminster. The three men were staying together at the West Edmonton Mall Inn but were wanted on warrants from separate incidents in Saskatchewan.

One of the bullets hit the windshield of a passing vehicle.Ìý Police believe up to five people may have been involved. There were no injuries. Hagan was charged with discharging a firearm with intent and reckless discharge of a firearm.

They include the Crime Reduction Team, the Gang Task Force, the General Investigation Section, detachment teams, the Federal Serious and Organized Crime Unit, Integrated Intelligence Units, the Division Criminal Analytical Service and the Crime Prevention/Crime Reduction Team.
