Local art on display in August

Summer brings with it some inspirational works from local and national artists alike. Local artists have come together once again to put on a window salon exhibit of their work.

Local artists have come together once again to put on a window salon exhibit of their work. A wide array of works, mediums and vision inspire and stimulate the senses. The show runs from Aug. 1 to Sept. 3.

Also this month is the Artist Summer Retreat, which offers workshops on topics ranging from fabric collage and stitching to mask making and drawing. Come get inspired by local artisans. The retreat runs Aug. 7 to 12 at the Chapel Gallery.

On exhibition this August is a Western and Northern Canadian artist collaboration titled Waterworks themed around this life giving substance. This show runs from Aug. 1 to Sept. 30.
