The recipients of the coveted Dimensions Awards were presented by the Saskatchewan Craft Council online on Tuesday June 29.
Juror David Freeman and Exhibitions Coordinator Maia Stark hosted the virtual presentation of such prestigious awards as the Gale Steck Memorial Award for Excellence in Craft from an Emerging Artist; the Jane Turnbull Evans Award for Innovation in Craft; and the top prize, the Dimensions 2021 Award for the Outstanding Entry.
Dimensions is the SCC’s touring, juried, exhibition of contemporary craft open to all Saskatchewan craftspeople. 83 artists submitted 130 pieces to the Dimensions Jurors, David Freeman and Jane Kidd. Dimensions is a dynamic, colourful exhibition of 35 excellent fine craft pieces in a wide variety of media, which can be viewed in SCC Gallery until Aug. 28 in Saskatoon.
