Best wishes to all students. They have been on their Christmas holiday since Friday, Dec. 17. Enjoy the break.

A long time resident of the Waseca area, Richard (Ritchie) Roberts passed away in Lloydminster Hospital Dec. 14 at the age of 75 years.

Ritchie's parents and three older siblings arrived in Canada in 1929 from Cornwall, England and made their home on the Dick Broderick farm north of Waseca where they were employed. Ritchie was born there in March, 1935.

Ritchie spent most of his lifetime on the farm. His parents and their family lived in several places in the Waseca area. Ritchie attended Waseca School.

At an early age, Ritchie returned to the Broderick home where he operated the farm which he took over after Mr. Broderick's death.

Ritchie lived quietly. He enjoyed his friends, who found him to be generous and caring.

Funeral service for Ritchie was held in Waseca Hall Dec. 17 with burial in Waseca Cemetery.

Ritchie was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and a sister and his daughter, Kathleen.

He will be sadly missed by his companion, Anne; his son, Allan, and his wife and four children (Ritchie's grandchildren ) and one great-grandchild. We extend our sympathy to them and to Ritchie's many friends.
