Long winter nights are a hallmark of the Saskatchewan experience.

The current exhibition in the window salon of the Chapel Gallery explores the feelings and moods of the artists' response to this winter environment. Gallery members have created works that show their interpretation of the theme "Light of the Winter Night."

This collection includes acrylic and watercolour paintings, drawings and fabric works. Each artist has presented a snapshot of something or someone to "light" the night.

Visitors have the opportunity to enjoy art created by local artists and can purchase a piece as a gift or for their own collections.

The Chapel Gallery is located at 891 - 99th St. and is open from noon to 4 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. For more information please contact the Chapel Gallery at 445-1757.

Support is provided by the Saskatchewan Arts Board and the City of North Battleford.
