The Marsden Jubilee School Cooking Club has been busy making sloppy joes, homemade French fries and rainbow cupcakes. The children have really enjoyed making, and tasting, their food and the school has had some mouth-watering smells. The group hopes to finish two more recipes prior to the Easter break.
Students from Marsden Jubilee School will be celebrating Easter Spirit Day April 21 with a scavenger hunt around the town. The students will also be decorating Easter eggs. The following day, April 22, is Earth Day. Caring for our earth is something we should do on a daily basis. During the week of April 18 through 21, the students at MJS will be participating in various Earth Day activities, both in the school and in individual classrooms.
The five winners of the Teacher/Principal for the day contest took over Marsden Jubilee School April 7.
The Grade 1 and 2 class from MJS went on a field trip April 5. The students attended Ag Day in Lloydminster where they learned about many facets of agriculture and food production. After lunch, the class traveled to Neilburg to bowl.

The Manitou Multiple 4-H group sponsored a Movie Night at Neilburg Composite School April 8. The movie Mega Mind was screened. Many participants wore their PJs and brought their blankets!
The Manitou Wildlife Federation will be holding their annual Firearm Safety Course at Marsden Jubilee School on April 30 and May 1. You must be 11 years old by the end of the Hunter Education Course and you have to be 8 to take the Federal Safety Course.
