Many unable to attend birthday supper

Bingo was played April 13 with Margaret MacEachern and Jean Hartman doing the calling. Lunch was provided by Bev Stewart and Dorothy Harmel. The loonie pot was won by Jean Stewart. The March-April birthday potluck supper was held April15 at 6 p.m.

The March-April birthday potluck supper was held April15 at 6 p.m. Seated at the birthday table were Ray Hartman and Dorothy Kissick. Missing were George and Rose Danychuck, Joan Smith, Thelma Lundell and Mervin Burgess. Peter Taylor and Mabel Stewart, drop-in members at the Pine Island Lodge, and Gertie Rutledge, who lives at the Pine Island Suites, also had their birthdays but were unable to attend. Following a delicious meal, games of choice were played. Door prizes were won by Margaret MacEachern and Jean Stewart.

Catch the four tens whist was played April 18. Lunch was provided by Hettie Richardson, assisted by Jean Hartman. High score went to Bev Stewart and low to Dorothy Kissick.

Advance polls for the upcoming election were held at the centre, April 22, 23 and 25. A poll will also be open at the centre on election day, May 2, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. See you there. It is a privilege to vote!
