The Maidstone Museum members gathered at Sunny's Coffee Shop and Dining Room, March 21 for their annual meeting. No changes were made in the election for 2011 and 2012 positions. President Bill McGilvery, vice-president Dorothy Schwartz, secretary Frances Petterson and treasurer Randy Pike continue to serve.

The museum had a reasonably good year financially. It was decided to discontinue the Texas Hold 'em Poker Tournament. The last few tournaments were not profitable due to poor attendance and high rental costs.

After adjournment of the annual meeting, the regular monthly meeting followed. Final arrangements were made for the silent auction in conjunction with the Trade Fair on April 2 and 3. The high school will be asked for volunteers to assist the museum members during these two days, as well as to set up on the day prior. Mae Hinde is in charge of organizing the roast beef supper held on the Saturday evening. This supper is free to the vendors who have booths at the trade fair and is held upstairs.

After the adjournment of the regular meeting, the members as well as numerous guests who had helped with museum activities throughout the previous year were treated to a complementary supper courtesy of the museum organization. The pre-arranged delicious western and Chinese supper was provided by Sunny's. Thus ended an enjoyable fiscal year for the Maidstone museum.
