Hello, everyone. We are the Cloverbuds reporting from Swift Mount Light Horse 4-H Club.

We welcome back all previous members to Swift Mount. They are Hannah Lapawchuk, Latral Foulston, Brittney, Brooklyn and Brady Finch, Dakota Crowell, Tristan Prescesky and Clinton Mosuk. New members are Cadence Fortin, Rylee Donomy and Mckenzie Lamoureux.

The club's first meeting of the year took place Sept. 12 at the cadet hall in North Battleford. General leader is Liliane Finch and assistant leader is Cindy Foulston. Elected were Brady Finch as president and Brooklyn Finch as vice-president. Treasurer is Dakota Crowell and secretary is Brittney Finch.

The year kicked off with a cookie dough fundraiser. The club members met their goal. Swift Mount was also privileged to sell 50/50 tickets at Kramers' horse sale in October. This has helped the club account a kick start for upcoming clinics and special events.

Following the fundraisers, club members fit in a safety clinic where they learned useful information on how to work with their horses. Ron and Brenda Smith allowed members to use their arena and Shayne was the parent volunteer.

A Halloween party was held Oct. 30. Members had fun with their horses and fellow 4-H members. This was a special day for Swift Mount because a $680 donation was presented by Russell Batt on behalf of the Canadian Legion of Riders for the purchase of new club sweaters.

After a fun filled day of games and riding horses the members carved pumpkins and made a mess. The evening ended with 4-H grace followed by a potluck and a club meeting.

This is all we have to report for now. The club members hope to see everyone at the annual Cowboy Christmas Parade in Battleford Saturday.
