Lovely Magnaye says community building is something that she’s passionate about.

TISDALE – The Town of Tisdale has hired a new CAO. Lovely Magnaye's first day will be Aug. 26.

Magnaye is coming from the Town of Wynyard. Magnaye said to Â鶹ÊÓƵ.ca that she was the deputy CAO for three and half years in Wynyard and before that was with the Town of Wadena as the administrative assistant since 2014. Magnaye is also currently working as the executive assistant for the Urban Municipal Administrators Association of Saskatchewan (UMAAS).

Magnaye is married and has two kids, Mikeilah, 14, and McKale, 8. “My kids love playing sports such as volleyball, softball/baseball, badminton, hockey, basketball, soccer, and swimming and I enjoy spending time with my family.”

Magnaye is originally from the Philippines and said community building is something that she’s very passionate about. “I am looking forward to having a lot of wonderful opportunities for myself and my family in Tisdale.”

Magnaye said the town of Tisdale is a diverse and inclusive community and believes that Tisdale has a promising economy and is excited to be part of its growth throughout the years. Tisdale has a population of 2,962 as of the 2021 Census and is located in Northeast Saskatchewan. The community is known for its agriculturally rich land.

“I am also looking forward to working with the council, staff and our residents,” Magnaye said.

Mayor Al Jellicoe said Magnaye had the most experience when they were searching for a new CAO and felt she was the best for the job.
