Driver involved in pedestrian collision sought by Melfort RCMP

The pedestrian was not seriously injured, but police need to talk to the driver.

Melfort RCMP are looking for the driver of this black 2012-2016 Nissan Pathfinder.

MELFORT — Melfort RCMP are looking for a driver of an SUV that backed into a pedestrian. The pedestrian was not seriously injured.

The collision took place in the parking lot of a business in Melfort on Dec. 2 at about 3 p.m., said a RCMP Saskatchewan Crime Watch Advisory.

"The driver of the vehicle stopped and got out in order to help the pedestrian up off of the ground but did not identify themselves and did not remain in order to deal with the situation," the advisory said.

Police said the vehicle was a black 2012-2016 Nissan Pathfinder with a younger female driver.

"Police need to talk to the driver and if anybody knows who this vehicle belongs to or who the driver was, they are asked to call the Melfort RCMP at (306) 752-6420," the advisory said.
