The death of Mr. Wilfred Lange of the Burr district, southwest of Humboldt, SK, occurred at Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon, SK, on Monday, December 3, 2012. He was 82 years of age. Wilfred was born on April 8, 1930, to Arthur and Lena Lange at Regina, SK. He grew up on the Lange family homestead in the Burr district, where he resided all his life, and attended Manor Park School. Following his education he began his lifelong occupation of farming, which he loved right until the end. In 1961, Wilfred married Ida Prafke of Lashburn, SK. Three children, two sons and a daughter were born to them. A man who appreciated the simple things of life, in the days of his childhood and youth, he enjoyed skiing and horseback riding. Wilfred also found great pleasure in fishing and spending time at Nemeiben Lake in northern Saskatchewan. In more recent years, he pursued his interest in computers and enjoyed learning how to keep in touch with family and friends through that way of communication. Wilfred will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Ida (nee Prafke) Lange of the Burr district; three children and eight grandchildren: Leonard (Dean) Lange of Lloydminster and family, Kutler, Lenaya, Dylan, and Shalyn; Nancy (Rich) Wilson of Edmonton, AB, and family, Michael and Matthew; and Randy (Monika) Lange of Spruce Grove, AB, and family, Aleksander and Anna-Maria. He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Lena Lange. The Funeral Service for Wilfred was held at St. John's Lutheran Church, Humboldt, on Friday, December 7, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Robert Grout.
