The sudden and unexpected death of Ryan Eckl, 50 years of Humboldt, occurred on Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Ryan was born in Humboldt on March 16, 1965 to Rodger and Marjorie (nee Moorman) Eckl. He grew up on the farm in the Pilger area and attended school in Pilger and then Humboldt. While still in school, he worked at FeedRite. Following his education, he moved to Fort. St. John, BC where he worked at Davidson’s for about five years. He returned home to farm with Rodger and then eventually on his own. For the last number of years, he worked at various jobs in the area operating heavy equipment. Ryan loved the outdoors and therefore enjoyed activities such as camping and fishing. He was a very quiet person who enjoyed his solitude. Ryan will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his parents, Rodger and Marjorie Eckl of Humboldt; two daughters, Samantha Raab of Humboldt and Brooklyn Eckl of Pilger; his grandmother, Rose Eckl of Bethany Pioneer Village, Middle Lake; and by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Otto Eckl; and grandparents, John and Mary Moorman. A Private Family Funeral Service was held at Malinoski & Danyluik Funeral Home, officiated by Fr. Ephriam Mensah. Memorial Donations in Ryan’s memory may be directed to Humboldt District Hospital Foundation, St. Elizabeth’s Ladies Auxiliary Centennial Cardiac Endowment. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Malinoski & Danyluik Funeral Home, Humboldt.
