Ray Diener, age 82 years of Humboldt, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 12, 2011 with his wife at his side. Ray was born on September 30, 1928 in Jansen, where he received his education. He farmed in the Lampard district, worked at the Sask.

Ray Diener, age 82 years of Humboldt, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 12, 2011 with his wife at his side. Ray was born on September 30, 1928 in Jansen, where he received his education. He farmed in the Lampard district, worked at the Sask. Liquor Board, as well as doing carpentry work. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, travelling and time spent with grandchildren and later with great grandchildren. He is survived by his loving family: wife of 30 years, Lydia; step children, Ray, Brian (Regina) and Barbara; grandchildren, great grandchildren, two sisters, Mary and Eleanor; one brother, John; nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Elizabeth; first wife, Ruth; and brothers-in-law, Emil Baerwalt and Frank Hill. The Funeral Mass for Ray was held on Friday, May 13, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, Humboldt, celebrated by Fr. Emile April. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ray's memory may be made to the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation or Humboldt District Hospital Foundation. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Malinoski & Danyluik Funeral Home, Humboldt, SK.
