Peter Schueller
March 11, 1936 - November 29, 2012
The death of Mr. Peter Schueller of LeRoy, SK, occurred on Thursday, November 29, 2012, at Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon. He was 76 years of age. Peter was born on March 11, 1936, to George and Agnes (nee Peichel) Schueller and raised on a farm near Romance, SK. He attended Korbel School and then worked on neighboring farms. In 1957, Peter began working for the R.M. of LeRoy and continued his employment there until his retiring in 2003. He married Lorraine Eming on October 24, 1961, in St. Oswald R.C. Church in Romance. They moved to LeRoy and raised three daughters. Peter enjoyed many leisure activities: curling, bowling, quading, driving grader, fishing, and gardening. His garden never had a weed in it. Family and friends all enjoyed the vegetables he grew with such love. As was the same with his fishing; Peter never came home with an empty net! His willingness to help everyone who needed it touched many hearts and will remain there forever. We were all blessed to have him in our lives as a loving dad, husband, grandpa, brother and friend. Peter will forever be remembered by his three daughters: Bernice (Darren) Rath of Wynyard, SK; Patricia (John) Gross of Regina, SK; and Lorna (Doug) Harms of Yorkton, SK; four grandchildren: Griffin (Robyn) Rath of High Prairie, AB; Brittney (Andrew) Rath of Regina, SK; Austin Harms of LeRoy, SK; and Brooke Harms of Yorkton, SK; three great-grandchildren: Caden, Nolen and Patyn; sister-in-law, Mary (Tony) Morhart of LeRoy, SK; and by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Lorraine (2006); father, George (1978); mother, Agnes (1989); brother, Leonard (2007); and sister-in-law, Sheila (2008). A Prayer Service for Peter was held at Holy Rosary R.C. Church, LeRoy, SK, on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at 7:30 p.m., presided by Fr. Paul Paproski, OSB. Others taking part were: Karen Schleper, scripture reader; Ivy McGrath, intentions. Music ministry was provided by Leona Wakelam. Theresa Reimer delivered the eulogy. The Funeral Mass was offered at Holy Rosary R.C. Church, LeRoy, SK, on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at 1:00 p.m., celebrated by Fr. Paul Paproski, OSB. Others taking part were: Chad Knaus, crossbearer; Marie ven der Buhs and Karen Hartman, scripture readers; Bev Thoen, intentions; Brian and Bev Thoen, giftbearers; and Griffin Rath and Austin Harms, urn bearers. Music ministry was provided by Leona Wakelam. An honor guard was formed by co-workers from the R.M. of LeRoy.
