MARIANCHUK: Nestor
It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Nestor Marianchuk on November 17, 2013 at the Humboldt District Health Complex where he received excellent care until his passing. Nestor was born in Theodore, Sask on April 13, 1933. He is survived by his wife Helen of 58 years, his two sons Ken(Marta) their children Tegan and Tai Li of Gilbert, Arizona, and Lyle(Vicki) and their children Amanda and Michael of Innisfail, Alberta. He was predeceased by his father George, mother Dora, brother Ed, sister Sylvia and infant brother Orest. Nestor was a teacher for 35 years and was very active in the community of Watson including volunteer work with many organizations and coaching various sports. After retiring from teaching, Nestor suffered a stroke in 1992 which limited his physical abilities and so spent much of his time following events and sports by watching television. His disability did not affect the enjoyment he got from spending time visiting with his family that he loved very much and his friends. At Nestor's request a funeral service will not be held however a family memorial service will be held at a later date.
