KOZAR:
It is with great sadness that the family of Martin Kozar announces the passing of their husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather at St. Paul's Hospital, Saskatoon after a short and courageous battle with cancer. Martin was born in Rose Valley Hospital on September 21, 1929 to Nick and Frances Kozar of Scrip, SK. He married Shirley Vigoren on July 18, 1958. They spent their first winter in Surrey, BC. They then moved back to the farm at Scrip where they farmed and raised their family. Martin continued to farm until 1985 when he and Shirley moved to Humboldt. They moved to Muenster in 1998, where they resided until November 17 of this year when they moved to Saskatoon. Martin is survived by his wife, Shirley; son, Dale (Kathy), their two children and four grandchildren; son, Terry (Wanda), their four children and six grandchildren; daughter, Wendy; and daughter, Elaine (Steve) and their three children. Also surviving him are his two brothers, Nick (Phyllis) and Alex; three sisters, Ann (Jerry), Kay (Bob) and Minnie; as well as many nieces and nephews. Martin was predeceased by his parents, Nick and Frances; and eight siblings. The Funeral Service for Martin was held on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Malinoski & Danyluik Funeral Home, Humboldt, officiated by Rev. Al Hingley. Interment followed in the Clair Cemetery. Memorial donations in Martin's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Down's Syndrome Society. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Malinoski & Danyluik Funeral Home, Humbold, SK.
