TEIBER: Louise Josephine
February 4, 1918 - March 18, 2014
With great sadness, we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother, Louise Josephine (nee Jaeb) Teiber of Aspen Manor, Bethany Pioneer Village, Middle Lake, SK, (and formerly of Lake Lenore and Humboldt). Her death occurred at Humboldt District Hospital, Humboldt, on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at the age of 96 years. Louise was born on February 4, 1918, to Frank and Josephine (nee Barthel) Jaeb at home on their farm in the Fulda district. She grew up there and attended Willmont School. Following her education, Louise helped on the farm, mainly with the garden and milking cows. On October 8, 1937, Louise married Nick Zieglgansberger. Two children were born to them, Arthur in 1939, and Marjorie in 1942. Tragically, in October 1942, Nick was killed in a threshing machine accident. Louise and the children moved back to her parents' home and then to her brother Leo's home after his wife died. On August 8, 1944, Louise married Tony Teiber. They made their home on a farm in the Lake Lenore area. The following year, Louise and Tony lost a daughter at birth. After being hailed out on the farm, they lived in the town of Lake Lenore for a time, then moved back to the farm in 1952. In 1970, Louise and Tony moved to Humboldt. Louise was widowed again in 1996, when Tony died. She then moved to the Harry Ford Centre and lived there until 2006, when she became a resident of Bethany Pioneer Village, initially at Birch Manor and then at Aspen Manor, her home until the present. An excellent homemaker, Louise took pride in keeping her home, garage, yard, and garden in immaculate condition. As well, her baking - especially apple pies - were second to none. She was a gifted seamstress and loved making quilts and afghans for her children and their families. Louise also loved making old jewellery, furniture and other items look like new and kept them that way. The old adage "she could make a silk purse out of a sow's ear" certainly applied to Mom. Always, and in all ways, family was of utmost importance to Mom, and her life revolved around them. A very humble and unselfish person, she never wanted to be a bother to anyone. She was always cleaning up her belongings so no one would have too much trouble when she left us. Her kindness and gentleness will always be remembered. Louise will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her daughter, Marge(Gerald) Frank of Candle Lake and their family: Shelly Frank of Toronto, ON, and daughter Kristen(Kerwin) Rae and their son Noah of Australia, Tracey(Kevin) Becker and family Lindsay Becker and children Nevaeh and Tate, Melissa Becker(Ben Wilkes) and children Kylee and Adalynn, all of Calgary, AB, Dean Frank of Saskatoon and his children Nigel, Gabrielle and Sasha, Gwenda Korte(Randy Parent) of Manitoba and her children Justin Korte(Rhea Felix), Rachelle Korte(Shane Covey) and daughter Aleah, all of Saskatoon, and Rob(Tammy) Frank and their sons Boden and Neslin of Saskatoon; daughter-in-law, Betty Teiber of Lake Lenore and her family: Guy Teiber of Middle Lake and his son Lee of Humboldt, Heather Teiber(Kurt Moorman) of Pilger, Holly(Lloyd) Schneider and her son Calvin of Humboldt, and Gayle(Derek) Dagenais and their sons Ashton and Mitchel of Humboldt; one sister, Emily Frank of Birch Manor, Bethany Pioneer Village, Middle Lake; one brother, Alois(Lorraine) Jaeb of Humboldt; sister-in-law, Eileen Jaeb of Aspen Manor, Bethany Pioneer Village, Middle Lake; two sisters-in-law: Mary Schmid and Madeline Braun, both of Humboldt; numerous nieces and nephews; and by relatives of the Teiber family.
