When Kevin became too ill to stay at home, he was fortunate enough to stay at the Red Deer Hospice. It is a 100% privately funded hospice that specializes in not only the physical care of its patients but also in the end of life social, emotional and spiritual care of both the patient and their loved ones. They do all of this at no cost to the patient. In order for a facility of this caliber to continue functioning, and to maintain its high standards, it relies on donations for most of its operating costs. Donations to the Hospice will ensure that other cancer victims will be able to take advantage of the phenomenal care that Kevin received in the 5 months that he was there. Kevin's family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made in Kevin's honor to the Red Deer Hospice of Red Deer, AB or the Canadian Cancer Society.
