SCHREINER: Joseph "Joe" Lawrence

The death of Mr. Joseph "Joe" Schreiner of Humboldt, SK, occurred at Humboldt District Hospital, Humboldt, SK, on Friday, July 5, 2013. He was 52 years of age. Joe was born to George and Agnes (nee Wigbers) Schreiner on January 13, 1961, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Humboldt. He was raised on the family farm and attended school in Humboldt. Following his education, he worked for local farmers, including Harold Fraser, Norman Weinrauch, and Les Bernauer. During the last 11 years, Joe worked with Gordon Mueller, where he was included as part of their family. His favorite pastimes were crop checking, collecting antiques, going to auction sales, fishing, and doing puzzles. He also took great pride in his coin collection. Joe was an easy-going man who loved family gatherings and visiting with friends. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He will be missed! Joe will be lovingly remembered by his son Clayton; siblings: HENRY Schreiner (Elaine) of Humboldt and his family Braeden and Zachary; JANICE Fischer (Dan) of Humboldt and their family, Randy, Tracy (Brent), Daniel and David, Amanda, Aerionna, and Brian; BERNARD Schreiner (Sharon) of Wainright, AB, and family, Opal, Julianna, Gabrielle and Bobbi, Jade, Angel and Adellah, and Kaleigh; DOROTHY Graf of Humboldt and family, Bradley (Kendra), Jennifer (Blair), Skylar; CAROL Perry of Humboldt and family, Kevin (Shelley), Austin, Carla (Larry), Walker and Savannah, and Pamela (Sheldon), Hannah, Hunter and Hadleigh; ANITA Stadnyk (Dave) of Humboldt and her family, Christopher (Krystal), Matthew and Hailey, Tina, Katlynn, Nathan, and Travis, Cheyenne. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Agnes (nee Wigbers); sister-in-law, Sandra Schreiner; brothers-in-law: Barry Graf, Frank Perry and Leddi Stadnyk; niece, Bonnie Fischer. The Funeral Service was held at St. Augustine R.C. Church, Humboldt on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., officated by Fr. Ephraim Mensah. Others taking part were: (godson) Nathan, crossbearer; Madison and Mackenzie Mueller, scripture readers; (great-niece) Katlynn, intentions; Gordon Mueller, eulogist; Eileen Woodham and Kendra Mueller, memorial table attendants; (son) Clayton, urnbearer. Honorary pallbearers were "all those who shared in Joe's life". Interment followed at St. Augustine R.C. Cemetery, Humboldt.
