Jerome Isidore Doll was born August 24, 1929 to Isidore and Elizabeth Doll at Hodgeville, Saskatchewan. Jerry passed away suddenly on November 23, 2015 at his home in Caleb Village. He was predeceased by his wife, Anita, in 2009 and is survived by his children - son, Jerry Jr. and wife Betty, son, Les and wife Heather and their children, Steven and Claire, son, Greg and wife Ardel and their children, Melissa, Andrew and Kristopher, son, Randy and wife Lynn and their children, Graham, Daniel and Noel, daughter, Lori and husband Glen Graham and their children, Mia and Madison. Jerry is also survived by his siblings, sister, Florence Seifert, brother, Norbert (Shirley), sister, Berniece Christenson, sister, BettyAnn (Tony Rollheiser), brother, Gary (Carol) and numerous nieces and nephews.Ìý Jerry was raised on a farm near Hodgeville with his six siblings. As a young man in search of work, he left Saskatchewan and worked as far off as B.C. where he was employed on highway construction (Hope Princeton) for two years and then worked at a copper mine at Copper Mountain, B.C. While there he met and later married Anita Ewen on September 29, 1952. They returned to Saskatchewan where Jerry worked in building construction. In 1972, Jerry moved the family to Middle Lake, SK where he farmed until retiring in Middle Lake in 1995. Along the way, Jerry and Anita raised their four boys and one girl. Over the years, Jerry was involved in many clubs and programs: President of the Queen City Fish and Game League in Regina, Member of the Saskatoon Fish and Game League, minor hockey coach in Saskatoon and Middle Lake, President of Middle Lake Zone Hockey, Treasurer of the Lucien Lake Fish and Game League, member of the Middle Lake Recreation and Lucien Lake Park Boards, Councillor for the RM of Three Lakes and Reeve of the RM of Three Lakes for 20 years until retiring in 1999. In his later years, he also provided home care for his wife, Anita, who developed Parkinson’s Disease, until she became a resident of Bethany Pioneer Village. Jerry spent the remaining retirement years carving, woodworking, gardening, playing bridge and being a Grandpa to seven grandsons and four granddaughters. His memorial service will take place Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 1:30pm at the Middle Lake Community Centre.
