ZLUKOSKY: James
Ìý
The death of Mr. James Frank Zlukosky, 93 years, of St. Mary’s Villa, Humboldt occurred on Tuesday, January 5, 2016. Jim was born on February 11, 1922 at home in the Bay Trail area to John and Martha (nee Koski) Zlukosky. He grew up there and attended Deer Lake School. Following his education, Jim began farming with his father and brother. On July 2, 1957, he married Anne Saretsky. They operated a mixed farming operation for many years, retiring in to Humboldt in 1995. Jim’s father passed away early in his life and Jim helped to look after his mother for many years. Over the years, he enjoyed watching many sports. He liked to visit and have a good game of cards, which most often was Kaiser. In 1968, Jim won a chance to be on the game show, Windfall in Vancouver. They took the train to Vancouver and he won 3 out of 4 of the games he played, making this a memorable trip for them. They enjoyed a few casino trips throughout their retirement years. With failing health and needing more care, Jim became a resident of St. Mary’s Villa in 2011. Jim could be best described as a quiet, humble and very honest man. He was a great husband, wonderful father and grandfather. Jim will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife, Anne Zlukosky of Humboldt; their four children, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild: Dianne (Bruce) King of Pincher Creek, AB and family Tiana (Lex) Navarro of Calgary and Tyler King and son Ethan of Lethbridge, AB; Glenn (Joan) Zlukosky of Humboldt and family Brent Zlukosky of Prince Albert, Jason (Stephanie) Zlukosky and Jesse Zlukosky, both of Warman, and Nevaeh Zlukosky of Humboldt; Kevin (Janine) Zlukosky and family Cameron Zlukosky and Ashley Zlukosky, all of Saskatoon; and Lorne (Kim) Zlukosky and daughter Kaylee, all of Riverview, NB.
