KOHLE - The family is very saddened to announce that Mrs. Hilda (nee Rosentreter) Kohle, 87 years, of Humboldt passed away at Humboldt District Hospital on Tuesday, February 8, 2011. Hilda was born on May 15, 1923 to Ed and Hilda (nee Schimdt) Rosentreter in Duck River, MB. In 1924 her family moved to Saskatchewan to the Cudworth district. She attended the old St. Benedict School in the Cudworth area. At a very young age she met the love of her life Eric Kohle and they were married on September 29, 1941 at St. Boniface in Leofeld, SK and began their life together on the farm near Cudworth. They were blessed with the perfect family of six children - three girls and three boys. She then began her career as a domestic engineer, she loved all the aspects of a life on the farm. They operated a mixed farm and Hilda played a very active roll for pleasure and for necessity of survival. She would assist Eric with many duties on the farm while maintaining a large raspberry patch, produce garden and a beautiful flower garden for pleasure and relaxation. She will always be remembered for her delicious potato doughnuts with maple glaze that would melt in your mouth. Hilda also was a very talented seamstress she would create many outfits for her children. In her pastime she could be found knitting or reading. Hilda was active in the CWL and Christian Mother's group. In 1992 Hilda and Eric retired to Humboldt where she continued to garden and keep a manicured yard. She enjoyed visiting with her neighbours. Hilda was a gentle, kind, soft spoken woman who never wanted to be fussed over but would always be there for everyone else. Hilda will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 69 years, ERIC Kohle of Humboldt; 5 children, 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.: Douglas (Carol) Kohle of Cudworth, and family, Dwight (Tanya) Kohle of Humboldt and children, Kody and Luke, Kevin Kohle of Cudworth and Leslie (Brenda) Kohle of Rimby, AB and children, Mathew, Elly and Casey; Linda (Dennis) Bender of Bruno, and family, Debbie (Brian) Hering Bender of Bruno and children, Tyrell, Tristan and Dawson and Darryl (Lorelei) Bender of Saskatoon and children, Kylie and Keenan, Ronald's family, Liz Kohle of Bon Accord, AB and children, Michael (Katie) Kohle of Yellowknife, NWT and Stephen Kohle of Edmonton; Judy (Dave) Monz of Humboldt and family, Trent (Krystin) Monz of Tisdale and Troy (Krista) Monz of Saskatoon and son, Marin, Norm Kohle (Teresa) of Grandora and his son's, Levi Kohle and Tyrell Kohle; Joyce Kohle (Bob) and her children, Mark Jordan and Rebecca Jordan all of Saskatoon; two sisters and one brother: Lydia Schwarz of Kamloops, BC, Olga Burg of Spalding and Leonard (Violet) Rosentreter of Vernon, BC; numerous nieces, nephews and members of the Kohle family. Hilda was predeceased by her parents, Ed and Hilda Rosentreter; son, Ronald Kohle (2001); granddaughter, Wendy Bender; two brothers-in-law, Rudolph Schwarz and Tony Burg. A Prayer Service was held on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. from Malinoski & Danyluik Funeral Home Humboldt, SK Presided by, Nestor Trach with Organist, Marie Aubin. Scripture Readings were done by, Debbie Bender-Hering and Rebecca Jordan. The Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. from St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church Humboldt, SK celebrated by, Fr. Emile April. Others taking part in the service were: Cross Bearer, Leslie Kohle, Altar Servers, Tristan Hering, Dawson Hering and Kylie Bender, Scripture Readers, Joyce Kohle and Debbie Bender-Hering; Intentions, Norm Kohle; Gift Bearers, Linda Bender and Judy Monz. An honor guard was formed by the St. Augustine CWL. Honorary Pallbearers were "All those who shared in Hilda's life". Pallbearers were (Hilda's grandsons): Dwight Kohle, Stephen Kohle, Darryl Bender, Trent Monz, Mark Jordan and Tyrell Kohle. Interment followed at St. Augustine R.C. Cemetery Humboldt, SK. Memorial Donations in Hilda's memory may be directed to, St. Augustine R.C. Parish Humboldt or charity of choice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to MALINOSKI & DANYLUIK FUNERAL HOME Humboldt, SK.
