Harry Ernest Pfneisl
March 6, 1952 - March 2, 2013
The sudden and unexpected death of Mr. Harry Ernest Pfneisl of Watson, SK, (and formerly of LeRoy, SK) occurred at his residence on Saturday, March 2, 2013, four days before his 61st birthday. Harry was born on March 6, 1952, to Peter and Clara (nee Berting) Pfneisl at LeRoy. He grew up on the family farm in the LeRoy district and attended Â鶹ÊÓƵ St. Gregor, Korbel and LeRoy schools. Following his education, Harry was employed as a semi-driver for various freight companies, including Richard Trucking, Trimac Trucking, and Rempel Trail Transportation. He owned a Freightliner for many years, and it was his pride and joy. Harry was also very proud of the motorbike he had many years ago and of his car. Over the years, Harry enjoyed spending time on the family farm, and attending family gatherings, where he was able to visit with his relatives. An avid country music fan who loved playing the guitar, his favorite performer was Merle Haggard. Harry was a man who appreciated the basic things in life; in the summer time he was quite content relaxing in his chair on the deck. Harry is survived by his mother, Clara (nee Berting) Pfneisl; six brothers and six sisters: Conrad (Lorraine) Pfneisl, Jeanette (Barney) Schoettler, Jerome (Linda) Pfneisl, Donald (Joyce) Pfneisl, Marie (Gayle) Schmidtz, Linda (Mickey) Ochitwa, Trudy Pfneisl, Florence (Dave) Bryant, Ken (Sandy) Pfneisl, Ron (Peggy) Pfneisl, Jerry Pfneisl, and Brenda Pfneisl; and by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Peter Pfneisl (2000); one niece, Stacey Pfneisl (1988); one nephew, Joseph Schmidtz (in infancy, 1973); and by one great-niece, Sienna Sikorski (in infancy, 2006). A Private Family Funeral Service was held at Schuler-Lefebvre Funeral Chapel, Humboldt, SK, on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at 10:30 a.m., officiated by Fr. Daniel Muyres, OSB. Others taking part were: Conrad Pfneisl, crossbearer; Brittanie Pfneisl and Bonnie Pfneisl, scripture readers; and Joyce Pfneisl, eulogist. Honorary pallbearers were "all those who shared in Harry's life". Interment will take place at St. Gregory R.C. Cemetery, St. Gregor, SK, at a later date. Memorial donations may be directed to either the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation of Canada. Schuler-Lefebvre Funeral Chapel, Humboldt, SK.
