October 28, 1934 - September 30, 2013

The sudden and unexpected death of Mrs. Evelyn Bernardena (nee Hueser) Nagy of Middle Lake, SK, occurred at her residence on Monday, September 30, 2013. She was 78 years of age. Evelyn was born on October 28, 1934, to Alphonse and Elizabeth (nee Frericks) Hueser at home on their farm in the Pilger area. She grew up there and attended Merrywood Rural School. On April 26, 1954, Evelyn married Arthur "Art" Nagy. They lived on their farm since their marriage. Evelyn dedicated her life to her marriage, raising nine children and working on the farm. The farm work included raising cattle, pigs, chickens, a huge never-ending vegetable garden, cooking and canning. Evelyn and Art enjoyed playing cards, going to dances, and visiting with family and friends. After the kids grew up, they also enjoyed camping and some travelling. After Art's death in 1996, Evelyn continued living on the farm, still enjoyed a large garden, bowling, playing cards, and doing embroidery. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were very important to her. Evelyn is survived by eight children: Brian (Nikki) Nagy, Debbie (Elroy) Baumann, William Nagy, Edwin (Pam) Nagy, Bev Nagy, Bonnie (Dudley) Buhler, Colleen (Rob) Lacroix, and Denise (Keith) Carroll; 19 grandchildren: Amy, Julian, Andrea, Jessica, Christina, Carla, Johnathan, David, Chelsea, Brandon, Ashley, Dustin, Danielle, Leighton, Tyler, Clarke, Miranda, Meagan, and Nathan; 11 great-grandchildren: Maggie, Hanna, Alex, Carter, Declan, Liam, Lucian, Lola, Lily, Jayce, and Madeleine; two sisters and two brothers: Dorothy (Lorne) Harle, Louise Montan, Eugene Hueser, and Alphonse Hueser; and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Nagy; son, Melvin Nagy; parents, Alphonse and Elizabeth (nee Frericks) Hueser; two brothers, Henry Hueser and Richard Hueser; sister-in-law, Eva Hueser; brother-in-law, Dan Montan; and by in-laws of the Nagy family.
