EVELYN MARIE BEAUDRYEvelyn, faithful and loving servant of God, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 13, 2012. She will be greatly missed by her six children: Arlene (Arnie) Krenn (Oregon), Shirley Williams (Regina), Len (Judy) Beaudry (Victoria), Ron (Debbie) Beaudry (Weyburn), Duane (Kimberley) Beaudry (Orlando), and Donna (Ken) Nelson (New Zealand); her fourteen grandchildren: Brian, Gordon, Michael and Rob Krenn, Nicole (Ryan, baby Bailey) Bast, Michelle Williams, Lisa and Carole Beaudry, Kristen, Tyler, Michael Beaudry and Kristen Scott, Katelyn and Joni-Ann Nelson; her many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Evelyn is also survived by her brother, Ken (Doreen) Ramsay, sister Shirley (Tom) Dawson and two sisters-in-law: Alice and Vivian Ramsay. Mom was loved by all and always spoke proudly of her children and family. She loved them dearly. She is now joining her deceased brothers, Albert, Don, Hal, sister-in-law Audrey, and granddaughter Cheryl Williams who was her shining star.Mom was born on January 4, 1919 to Havelock and Raymonde Ramsay of Cutknife, SK. She married Leo J. Beaudry of Cutknife, whereupon they moved to Spalding, Humboldt and then relocated to Regina where they raised the six of us. Mom was dedicated to her family and worked very hard to ensure we had everything we needed to be carefree kids. If we were sick, she was there, if we needed help she assisted, and for every complaint she listened with love and patience. Although our house was hectic, she was always well prepared. Mom was extremely talented and we always marvelled how she could draw, paint beautiful oil paintings, write poetry and music, sing and play the piano by ear. She could make a beautiful homemade card within minutes along with a special heartfelt verse to go inside. Her creativity ran deep as did her enthusiasm for life. She was a romanticist. She loved flowers and gardens and pretty ornaments. She loved to sing and she loved to dance. Her love of music fuelled her imagination. Over the years she compiled a large record collection along with music that she had both written and recorded.Mom suffered from Parkinson's disease but she never once complained. Her sense of humour remained to the very end and even though bed ridden for many years, she consistently greeted visitors with a warm smile and often a joke. She was a gentle soul who always did her very best to make everyone feel special. Where others would have given up, she persevered with hope, determination and inner beauty. It is with great sadness that we feel her departure but are comforted in knowing that after touching the lives of so many, she is now able to be at rest and peace in the arms of God. We wish to thank the staff from Sunset Care Home, who provided excellent and compassionate care for Mom over several years. We also wish to acknowledge the exceptional care of Dr. Gruszczynski who always provided compassionate care and treatment for Mom, particularly during her final days. We hope all of you will be rewarded for your kindness. Thanks also to the staff of the Palliative Care Program.Funeral Mass was held at Christ the King R.C.
