NETT: Aurelia Blanche

The death of Mrs. Aurelia Blanche Nett of Bruno, SK, occurred at her residence on Friday, October 4, 2013. She was 85 years of age. Aurelia, or "Honey" as she was known, was born on November 19, 1927 to Ervin and Catherine (nee Bourauel) Stahl in Humboldt, SK. She grew up on the family farm located north of Bruno. She attended Hoffman school until grade 8 and completed grade 9 and 10 by correspondence. She worked hard on the family farm and at a young age started working for various people in the surrounding district. On October 11, 1949 Aurelia married Peter Nett at Bruno, SK. After their marriage, they lived on the Nett homestead northeast of Bruno. They were blessed with three children and three grandchildren. Aurelia and Pete operated a mixed farm where they grew various crops and raised chickens, pigs, and milking cows. Pete and Aurelia had many good times with friends and neighbors at barn dances and playing cards. In 1976, they moved into the town of Bruno where Aurelia worked at Hillcrest Hatchery for a few years. She loved gardening in her three huge gardens, crochetting, baking, and attending her granddaughter's events. Her favorite times were spent with family and friends. Aurelia was a loving, caring mother and grandmother and always made sure that you were fed before you left her house. She will be remembered for her hearty laugh. Aurelia is survived by her children and grandchildren: Brian Nett of Bruno, SK; Gary Nett of Bruno, SK (Bonnie Sutherland); Deb Weiman of Bruno, SK and family Lori Weiman (Aaron Crowe) of The Pas, MB; Amy Weiman of Spiritwood, SK; Karen Weiman of Humboldt, SK; her favorite dog "Bella"; and her in-laws, Clementine Stahl and Kelly Callele. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter Nett; her siblings, Eugene (Alice) Stahl, Leon Stahl, Clothilda (Abe) Hassen, and Catherine Callele. A Prayer Service was held at St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, Bruno, SK, on Sunday, October 6, 2013, at 7:30 p.m. presided by Fr. Joseph Ackerman, OSB and music ministry was provided by Denise Krentz, organist and the St. Bruno Roman Catholic Senior Choir. The Funeral Mass was held at St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, Bruno, SK, celebrated by Fr. Joseph Ackerman, OSB. Others taking were: Amanda Basset, crossbearer; Grant Stahl and Sandra Pantella, scripture readers; Murray Callele, intentions; Lori Weiman and Aaron Crowe, giftbearers; Ruth Weiman, Loretta Manderscheid, Cathy Nett, Marlene Danylchuk, memorial table attendants; Denise Krentz, organist and the St. Bruno Roman Catholic Senior Choir, music ministry. Honorary pallbearers were "all those who shared in Aurelia's life". Urnbearer was Deb Weiman. Interment followed at St. Bruno Roman Catholic Cemetery, Bruno, SK.
