Anthony Brickner, 85 years of Humboldt passed away at Humboldt District Hospital on December 20, 2015. Tony was born in Colonsay, SK to Jacob and Katharina Brickner. Tony was enrolled at Valley View Centre in Moose Jaw and then later moved to his forever home in Humboldt under the care of Futuristic Industries. Tony resided within Futuristic Industries Supportive Living Program with his roommate Louie Engele. When circumstances changed for Tony and Louie, Tony moved into a Group Home. Tony was a man full of life, who was always eager to love. Tony enjoyed shooting pool, cheering on the Humboldt Broncos and was an active member with Special Olympics. In Tony’s earlier years he was employed part time collecting and disposing of garbage then later in life worked full time at Futuristic Industries. At Futuristic he was a man with many jobs. Tony helped in the Woodshop, Recycling Centre and Activity Centre. A special thanks to the staff of Futuristic Industries who cared, supported and loved Tony in all forms. A Celebration of Tony’s Life was held on Thursday, January 7, 2015 at 10:00 am at Malinoski & Danyluik Funeral Home, led by Jenny Irwin. Memorial donations in Tony’s memory may be directed to Futuristic Industries. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to MALINOSKI & DANYLUIK FUNERAL HOME Humboldt.
