NIEBRUGGE:
It is with great sadness the family announces that Mrs. Anne Niebrugge (nee Kainer), 69 years of Humboldt, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2013 with her family by her side. Anne was born on July 25, 1943 to Michael and Helen (nee Einsiedler) Kainer in the Bruno District. Anne attended Kildrum School, high school in Saskatoon, St. Ursula's Academy and graduated from St. Elizabeth's Hospital School of Nursing in 1964. It was at a dance at Stony Lake where Anne met the love of her life Reynald Niebrugge. After a short courtship they were married on July 3, 1965 at St. Bruno R.C. Church. Together they began their 36 year career of farming in the Fulda area. Anne worked side by side with her husband throughout their time on the farm. They were blessed with three beautiful daughters of whom they were proud. Anne continued to work at St. Elizabeth's Hospital until 2007 when she retired. In 1990 she also began casual employment at Bethany Pioneer Village and then worked at both facilities until retirement. Anne was a very dedicated, patient, gentle and caring nurse who loved her position of serving people in need. Anne was always busy helping someone. Her large beautiful flower beds and vegetable gardens were manicured to perfection every row was straight and not a weed to be found anywhere. Anne also loved sewing and creating tasty dishes for her family especially her buns and bread. Faith and family were number one in her life, she was a wonderful grandma and always made time for birthdays and gatherings. She was active in sports and enjoyed curling and golfing. Volunteering came easy for Anne. She was very active with the St. Augustine CWL and St. Elizabeth's Ladies Auxiliary. Moving to Humboldt in 2001 Reynald and Anne enjoyed camping with their family and traveling to warm destinations in the winter with their very good friends. Anne was a very strong person and fought a very courageous battle with cancer for the past 16 months. Anne will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband of 47 years, Reynald Niebrugge of Humboldt; their three daughters and four grandchildren: Rhonda (Eric) Purvis of Calgary, AB, Cheryl (Kevin) Feader and children Kyle and Amber, of Saskatoon and Jackie (Norman) Duret and children Kaylyn and Brittney, of Saskatoon; sister Judy (Rodger) Stahl of Bruno; sister-in-law Rosalie (Roger) Brandl of Ft. St. John, BC; members of the Niebrugge family: Thelma (Albert) Wempe of Humboldt, Lucille Niebrugge of Humboldt and Mel (Donna) Niebrugge of Edmonton, AB; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Anne was predeceased by her parents Michael and Helen Kainer; brother James Kainer; niece Delayne Kainer and parents-in-law Anthony and Johanna (nee Engele) Niebrugge. The Prayer Service for Anne was held on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. presided by Nestor Trach. Others taking part in the service were: Organist: Kathy Phillips; Readers: Mel Niebrugge and Deanne Lawson and Words of Remembrance were shared by Anne's daughters: Rhonda Niebrugge Cheryl Feader and Jackie Duret. The Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. con-celebrated by Fr. Gregory Roth, Fr. Daniel Muyres OSB and Fr. Bernard Stauber. Others taking part in the mass were: Cross Bearer: Luke Hergott; Readers: Michelle Hergott and Donna Niebrugge; Prayers of the Faithful: Judy Stahl; Gift Bearers: Kyle Feader, Amber Feader, Kaylyn Duret and Brittney Duret; Soloist: Rosalie Brandl; and Memorial Table Attendants Lois Wempe and Karen Fleischhacker; Honorary Pallbearers were: "All those who shared in Anne's life". Honor Guards were: Humboldt CWL, St. Elizabeth's Auxiliary and Members of St. Elizabeth's Nurses Alumni. Pallbearers were: Kurt Kainer, Kevin Kainer, Michael Stahl, Evan Stahl, Brian Wempe and Wanda Sand. Both Services will be held at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, Humboldt. The interment followed at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Cemetery Humboldt. Memorial donations in Anne's memory may be made to Saskatchewan Cancer Agency, Humboldt District Hospital Foundation St. Elizabeth's Ladies Auxiliary Centennial Cardiac Endowment or St. Augustine Building Fund.
