NORTH BATTLEFORD — As of 9:01 a.m., the City of North Battleford is warning residents of poor driving conditions as the city undertakes road clearing efforts this morning following an Alberta Clipper. "More than 10 cm of snow fell in North Battleford overnight and the region is still under a winter storm warning from Environment Canada," said the city in a media advisory.

"There are poor driving conditions throughout the city, with blowing snow reducing visibility due to high winds. Currently, City roadways crews are out cleaning the streets but given the amount of snow, this will take some time."

The City’s roadways crews are working on clearing Priority 1 and Priority 2 streets first and this is estimated to take a few days.

Following the completion of Priority 1 and 2 streets, the crews will move on to residential streets. "The City of North Battleford asks you to be cautious while driving today and stay off the roadways unless necessary. Residents are asked to please obey the 'no parking' signs on residential streets to allow crews to properly clean streets on designated days."
