LOON LAKE - RCMP are investigating a structure fire in Loon Lake.
Loon Lake RCMP continued to investigate the September 2024 fire that destroyed a church in Loon Lake. The fire was determined to be suspicious in nature.
On Dec. 7, Loon Lake RCMP arrested a male in relation to the investigation.
Shandon Chief, 25, from Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation, is charged with arson.
He was also arrested for breaching a conditional sentence order.
Chief appeared in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on Dec. 9.
