The Yorkton Xerox Terriers have been unstoppable so far this season; something both the Regina Aces and Battlefords Barons found out the hard way this past weekend, as the Xerox Terriers used both teams to increase their impressive SBAAHL undefeated streak to 26 games.

Aces low

The first victim of the weekend was the 麻豆视频 Division third place Regina Aces, as the Xerox Terriers torched the team from the Queen City for three goals in the first two minutes of the game and never looked back, crushing the Aces 8-1 for their 22nd win of the season.

Kishaun Gervais, Ryder Korczak, Aiden Bulych and Jackson Berezowski scored in the first period for the Xerox Terriers, while Zach McIntyre had two goals in the second period.

William Hauber also found the back of the net in the second period for his first SBAAHL goal, while Berezowski added his second of the night in the third period to round out the scoring.

Only Regina sniper Eric Pearce managed to solve Yorkton net minder Nolan Maier on the night, as Pearce鈥檚 48th goal of the season was the difference between a shutout and a one goal against performance for Maier.

鈥淭hat was a very good game for us,鈥 said Xerox Terrier head coach Dan Cross following the game. 鈥淲e tried to get out to a good start and obviously we did because we scored three in the first two minutes, so it was something that we鈥檝e been trying to work at, getting those early leads, and the boys came out and did an excellent job of it.

鈥淭hey set the forecheck and basically controlled the whole tempo of the game.鈥

Bruising the Barons

On Sunday the Xerox Terriers were back to their dominant ways.

This time the opponent was the North Division ninth place Battlefords Barons.

The Xerox Terriers opened the scoring in the first period on a McIntyre goal and quickly followed it up with a Gervais marker for a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes.

Gervais was back in the second to make it 3-0, but a pair of Barons markers later in the period cut the Xerox Terrier lead to one at 3-2 before a lucky bounce off the glass resulted in Evan Matatall鈥檚 second goal of the season and a 4-2 Yorkton lead after two periods.

Two more McIntyre goals made it a 6-2 game and gave the talented second year bantam player his third hattrick of the season while Massen Ziola rounded out the scoring with his sixth of the season in a 7-2 Yorkton win.

Spencer Welke improved his record to 11-1-2 while Cam Taylor took the loss for the Barons.

The next action for the Yorkton Xerox Terriers (23-1-4) will be the Valentine鈥檚 Day weekend when they travel to Swift Current on Saturday, Feb., 13 and Moose Jaw Sunday, Feb., 14 for their final two games of the regular season.
