The Yorkton Xerox Terriers have points in their last seven games thanks to a hard fought 2-2 tie with the Saskatoon Stallions Saturday afternoon at Yorkton鈥檚 Kinsmen Arena.

The draw leaves the Xerox Terriers in second place in the Saskatchewan Bantam 鈥楢A鈥 Hockey League (SBAAHL) 麻豆视频 Division, two points back of Estevan (7-2-3) and five up on third place Weyburn (4-5-2).

A host of Regina teams sit in fourth to sixth respectively with the Pat Blues (4-2-1) at nine points, the Aces (3-2-2) with eight and the Monarchs (3-4-0) with six.

Seventh place belongs to Swift Current (1-6-3) with five points, the Prairie Storm (2-3-0) are in eighth with four while Moose Jaw also has four points and a record of 1-8-2.

Notre Dame (0-8-2) and Melville (0-8-0) round out the 麻豆视频 Division with two and zero points, while the top four teams in the North are Humboldt (7-1-2), Sask Valley (6-3-1), the Saskatoon Stallions (5-3-2) and Northeast (5-3-1).

Saturday afternoon鈥檚 affair saw the visiting Stallions get on the board first when Dallyn Panchuk took the Alex Morozoff back door pass and fired it past Xerox Terrier goalie Spencer Welke for a 1-0 Stallion lead 3:05 into the second period.

Thirty seconds later and the Stallions made it 2-0 as Cameron Brossart snapped his fifth goal of the campaign past Welke.

A Colby Vranai power play marker just past the midway mark of the second period cut the Stallion lead in half at 2-1 when Vranai crashed the net and flipped the puck past Stallion netminder Rayce Ramsay and into the back of the net for his 10th goal of the season. 鈥淗e鈥檚 a guy you can rely on to get something going if you need it,鈥 said Xerox Terrier head coach Dan Cross of Vranai. 鈥淗e definitely pinches in offensively but he鈥檚 also a good defensive player. He plays strong position wise, he knows what the system is and where he鈥檚 supposed to put the puck and I think he鈥檚 one of the most reliable guys in all situations that we have on the team.鈥

The game would remain 2-1 for Saskatoon until late in the third period when Zach McIntyre buried his 11th goal of the season past Ramsay to even things up at two.

A couple of chances at either end saw both Ramsay and Welke stand tall to keep things even, resulting in a final score of 2-2. 鈥淚鈥檓 proud of the guys. They were able to come back in the third period down a goal and at least get that tying goal and then maintain the tie,鈥 offered Cross, adding that the play of Spencer Welke really stood out on Saturday afternoon. 鈥淪pencer played very well. He only let in two goals and especially right at the end of the game he made some really big saves to maintain that tie for us.

As for the goals that Welke did surrender, Cross said that they were ones that any goalie would have given up. 鈥淗e didn鈥檛 really have a chance on those goals. There was one that was back door and we had missed coverage there so he actually had a really solid 60 minutes for us and played his best game of the season.鈥
