Here's the latest - Yorkton Minor Football is hosting a Rider hockey team as a fundraiser. Riders playing are: Chris Getzlaf, Weston Dressler, Neal Hughes, Nick Hutchins, and a host of other Rider personalities
Facing off against: coaches of Yorkton Minor Football as well as some local celebrities When? January 21, 2012 7:00 p.m. Where? Kinsmen Arena.
Two periods of hockey with a halftime show which will include teams from Yorkton Minor Hockey. The arena's Blue Room will be open for beverages. Tapp's will be serving beef on a bun. Cost is $5.00 per ticket available at Herbal Magic, Farrell Agencies, and York Sask Drycleaners. Only 500 tickets will be sold.
Proceeds will be used to construct a multi purpose clubhouse and washroom facility at Century Field.
Jim Hopson, president and CEO of the Saskatchewan Roughriders wishes to thank the City of Yorkton and the Yorkton Minor Football Association for hosting the football players on this night. The main sponsor, says Yorkton Minor Football, is SaskCanola.
